Done. Mountain Reedbuck (Redunca fulvorufula)

Mountain Reedbuck (Redunca fulvorufula)

Overview
The Mountain Reedbuck is a medium-sized, shy antelope found in mountainous terrain. Rams weigh around 32 kg and stand 75 cm at the shoulder; ewes are slightly smaller. Their grey fur is accented with reddish-brown on the head and shoulders, a fluffy white tail, and white underparts. Only males have forward-curved horns.

These antelope move with a distinctive rocking gait and uplifted tail, flashing their white underside. They form small herds of 3–8, though temporary groups of up to 30 may occur. Young rams join bachelor groups until mature enough to compete for mates, while adult rams typically lead breeding groups.

Mountain Reedbuck breed in summer after an 8-month gestation, usually producing one lamb. They are commonly found on rocky slopes and bushy mountain regions in Gauteng, the Drakensberg, and Karoo koppies near the upper Orange River.
